WHY FUTURATION EXISTS

People often ask us what Futuration actually is, where it came from, and why we care so deeply about it.

The truth is, Futuration was never built to be just another showcase, singing school, or performance company.

It was built because we saw a massive gap in the Australian entertainment industry between having talent and actually knowing how to build a career.

Back when Benny, the founder of Futuration, was just 16 years old, he created his very first live production called The Gala. The vision was simple, give young artists, singers, dancers, and performers in regional Victoria a real stage to perform on, professional content to use, and an opportunity to start building industry experience and confidence.

The response was incredible.

A second Gala was planned for 2020, but due to COVID, the production was cancelled halfway through rehearsals. At the time, it felt like the end of that chapter.

But in reality, it became the beginning of something much bigger.

Over the years, Benny had built a creative community of more than 500 young musicians and performers called BG Community. Through that experience, one thing became very clear:

Young creatives were not lacking talent.
They were lacking opportunity, mentorship, accountability, community, and real-world industry experience.

That is why Futuration was created.

Live Shows & Experiences

Our productions give emerging artists the opportunity to perform on large-scale stages in front of real audiences, media, industry professionals, family, friends, and supporters.

These are the kinds of productions that would normally cost individual artists thousands upon thousands of dollars to create independently.

Instead, Futuration creates collaborative experiences where performers can:

  • Network

  • Build relationships

  • Receive mentorship

  • Create professional content

  • Gain live stage experience

  • Learn production processes

  • Build confidence

  • Strengthen their portfolios and CVs

  • Understand what the entertainment industry actually feels like

We want performers to leave our shows not only inspired, but hungry for what is possible.

Futuration exists to become a sounding board, training ground, and showcase platform for the next generation of Australian entertainment.

Today, Futuration is entering its third year of operation and has evolved into far more than just live shows.

At our core, we believe in one thing:

Artistry Meets Accountability.

We believe creativity is powerful, but talent alone is not enough anymore.

Artists today need:

  • Performance experience

  • Professionalism

  • Industry understanding

  • Branding

  • Media training

  • Collaboration skills

  • Confidence

  • Discipline

  • Community

  • Real pathways forward

That is what Futuration is designed to provide.

Futuration Academy

The second part of Futuration is education and development.

The money generated through Futuration is reinvested directly back into the ecosystem through:

  • Academy programs

  • Workshops

  • Podcasting

  • Training experiences

  • Community dinners

  • Networking events

  • Mentorship

  • Artist development

  • Content creation

  • Industry education

Our sponsors and corporate partners help us make these opportunities as accessible and affordable as possible for young creatives.

Every year, Futuration invests hundreds of thousands of dollars into production, staffing, creatives, education, rehearsals, content, venues, technology, and experiences to help support the future of Australian entertainment.

And we are only just getting started.

Our long-term vision is to become Australia’s leading platform for artist development, live entertainment training, and creative education through world-class experiences, academy programs, and national productions.

But more importantly than any stage, any production, or any number, we genuinely care.

Futuration was never built as a cash grab.
It was built because we believe young creatives deserve:

  • Better opportunities

  • Better guidance

  • Better communities

  • Better environments to grow in

Everything we create is designed to build real relationships, real confidence, and real pathways for people trying to navigate the entertainment industry.

And while we are constantly evolving, learning, and improving, the impact speaks for itself through the people, performances, friendships, and careers that continue to grow from the Futuration ecosystem.

This is bigger than a show.

This is about building the future of Australian entertainment.
